Name of Business  HSBC Commercial Banking. Supporting local businesses to achieve their ambitions by providing advice, banking services and funding 

Who are you?  Area Director responsible for a Relationship Management team across the North West 

What sets you apart from the competition?  Our level of Customer Service and Proactivity 

How did the business come about?  150 years ago, as a way of supporting trade channels between the East and West 

What are your main target markets?  Businesses that value a banking partner, from very small family owned business to the Large Corporates 

How long has your business been in existence?  150 years 

How many staff do you employ?  C230,000 but have a team of c10 that specifically service Warrington and the surrounding areas 

What job or achievement makes you most proud?  Positive feedback from a customer where we have helped them to shape or develop their business 

Where do you see the business being in five years?  Balancing a proposition to ensure customers receive relationship banking as well as all the benefits of technological advancements in financial services 

Why Warrington?  Local team, including myself, live and work here, and Warrington has a thriving economy with some fantastic businesses that we need to support 

Tell us one interesting thing about the business that might surprise us?  We have presence and contacts in 66 countries that are waiting to support Warrington Businesses 

Tell us one interesting thing about you that people might not know? (ie, hobbies, amusing fact, etc)  I have cycled (mountain bike) up to the top and then off the top of an active volcano. 

Brexit – good, bad, opportunity?  Depends if it prompts you to expand your business by exploring and entering new markets.
