Meet the Member - Tony Longmore from F11 Photography

  • Name of Business  F11 Photography Limited
  • Who are you?  Warrington, studio based photography company specialising in wedding photography, event photography, profile, product and commercial photography.
  • What sets you apart from the competition?  F11 Photography operates from The Photo Studio, a fully equipped photography studio, close to Warrington town centre with free parking right outside. We pride ourselves in supplying quality photography at sensible and sustainable prices. With over 25 years in photography, we have the experience to ensure that we deliver a great photography experience.
  • How did the business come about?  The business came about simply due to our love of photography.
  • What are your main target markets?  Our target markets are engaged couples who are looking for a reliable, quality photographer to entrust the photographic coverage of their wedding . Business owners who want to add a truthful and personal touch to their website imagery with photographs of their actual business and people profiles, as opposed to stock photographs.  Product suppliers who are looking to raise the standard of their product photographs.
  • How long has your business been in existence? F11 Photography Limited was formed in September 2018. Prior to this, the same director owned Oculus Studios Limited, which ceased trading in August 2018. All assets from Oculus Studios Limited were acquired by F11 Photography Limited and any outstanding work was honoured by the new company.
  • How many staff do you employ? – The company employs one director/photographer. However, F11 works closely with other trusted and experienced photographers who can team up to provide a larger service to its clients.
  • What job or achievement makes you most proud?  We help a local charity to raise funds by donating 20% of our turnover at certain events that we provide our photography service at throughout the year. There is a proud and satisfying feeling when we hand the donations over to the charity.
  • Where do you see the business being in five years? – We’d love to become one of the “go to” wedding and commercial photographers in the town. Our five year plan is to work towards this goal and build relationships with the local community.
  • Why Warrington? Warrington is a great town. The director was born and raised here and is a very proud Warringtonian!. Although some local people slate the town, it’s actually one of the most prosperous towns in the country.
  • Tell us one interesting thing about the business that might surprise us?  The name F11 is a term which comes from the setting on a camera lens.
  • Tell us one interesting thing about you that people might not know? (ie, hobbies, amusing fact, etc) Back in 1991 when I received my wedding photographs back from the “photographer”, the photographs were that bad that I said I could do better! Someone laid down the gauntlet and said to me “why don’t you then?”. I had never picked a camera up in my life at that point. This was the catalyst that kick started my career in photography.
  • Brexit – good, bad, opportunity? I don’t think anyone knows what Brexit will bring, only time will tell. I believe it is a good thing in terms of the fact that it’s shaken governments across the world. Complacency in the EU meant that something needed to be done to instigate change. Brexit is an opportunity.
  • Fantasy dinner party – which six people alive or dead would you invite? Her Majesty the Queen, Prince Charles, Princess Diana, Camilla Parker Bowles, Dodi Fayed, Mohamed El Fayed. Imagine!
