Social Media Executive celebrates 2 years in business
Becs Bate who trains companies how to effectively use social media to generate new business started the company just two years ago. Having worked for many years for Manchester City Council managing various environmental programmes, she took a massive career change in 2015 and went to support Nomad Games, a video games developer in Lymm. She successfully managed to infiltrate the American market by using social media; accessing journalists and customers; and growing their social media followers to over 20k in just three years. This contributed to their first game selling over a million units.
Becs identified that if social media is used in the right way it can really help to grow a brand and so she launched Social Media Executive, and has been training local businesses across Warrington ever since.
Considering Becs has never worked with businesses in Warrington she's really made a splash training over 250 businesses on platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. She's been invited to speak at over 30 events, won a networking award within 18 months of launching and has been invited onto the organising team for TEDx Warrington.
"I'd just like to say a huge thank you to the Warrington Business Exchange and the local business community. Being a "newbie" to the town I've found the business community extremely supportive and welcoming. There is a real passion to "shop local" by referring business between each other to support the local economy. I've made some great friends along the way and couldn't have done it without you all."
