It was fantastic for Adoption Matters to take part in the 2023 Chester Business Club Charity Sponsored Walk. The event was very well organised, with lots of different charities represented. Furry friends joined the walkers too – dogs galore – and one of the team, Annie’s doggie, Peppa, who is the ripe old age of 13, managed to keep up all the way! Peppa was a particular fan of the bacon buttie stop, whilst the children were fans of the Mars Bar and Orange Juice stops! But the G&T stop at the end of the walk was a favourite of the adults! The weather was kind so that definitely helped, and walking back along the river on the home straight was a delight. They managed to raise just over £1,000 and are delighted with that and know that the money will be put to good use in providing support for our adoptive families.
