Warrington Disability Partnership is a user-led charity. Launched in 1991, they provide 27 mobility and independent living services. By joining the WDP Ambassador Club, you can help them to help over 50,000 local disabled people, their carers and families.

WDP Facts:

  • WDP’s Employment Team have supported over 10,000 clients, with over 2,500 into full/part-time sustainable employment
  • Over 5,000 people have attended training courses in WDP’s IT Learning Centre 
  • WDP’s Shopmobility scooters and wheelchairs have been used over 260,000 times, enabling our members to spend over £13million in the town centre
  • WDP has engaged with over 2million people through their community engagement programmes providing valuable information, advice and guidance
  • WDP’s Galleries Community Café has cooked over 165,000 meals mostly for vulnerable people, including 14,976 meals for members of their Lunch clubs
  • WDP’s Wheelchair Loans Service has supported over 36,000 people, helping many to leave hospital earlier
  • WDP’s “240064” telephone number has handled over 1million incoming calls many from people desperately seeking assistance with life changing matters
  • Over 600,000 people have attended DAD events here in Warrington, and tens of thousands elsewhere 
  • Over £1million has been raised for other charities involved in Disability Awareness Day events
