EML IOSH

Delegates will gain the knowledge, tools and confidence to tackle their own health and safety responsibilities in the workplace, ensuring that health and safety becomes an integral part of day to day management and business. Each module is packed with content and step-by-step guidance to engage and inspire delegates, who will explore case studies and examples of recognisable scenarios with summaries to reinforce key learning points. Modules covered include:

  • Assessing risks
  • Controlling risks
  • Understanding responsibilities
  • Understanding hazards
  • Investigating incidents
  • Measuring performance

At the end of the course, delegates will complete an evaluation using a multi-format question paper and multiple-choice hazard spotting exercise. Successful delegates will then be awarded an IOSH Managing Safely certificate. Delegates will leave with the knowledge and confidence to assess and control risks and hazards, and understand their own health and safety responsibilities. They will be able to investigate incidents and be empowered to measure their own performance. The organisations they work for will, in turn, benefit from reduced levels of risk, greater compliance and the increased productivity that’s associated with an environment in which less accidents and illnesses occur. Certification will also enhance company reputation within the supply chain.

The course is delivered by our chartered Health, Safety & Wellbeing Consultant Joanne Howley either via an open course across 3 days (£375 per delegate), or an in-house course which can be a block of 3 days or 1 day a week for 3 weeks (price dependent on location and number of delegates). All Warrington Business Exchange members will receive a 10% discount! Contact us to find out when our next open course is running, or to arrange an in-house course at a convenient time for your organisation.
