Who are you? - Adam Tilston
What sets you apart from the competition? - When we work on a project, be it a new product launch or a rebrand, we stick to our three principles: experience, evidence and engagement. The first takes in what the people around the table know. The second looks at what the market is saying. The third focuses on what we bring forward to excite the target audience about what a client does.
How did the business come about? - Someone asked me, "do you fancy setting up a marketing agency and we'll be your client?" So, I said yes.
What are your main target markets? - I love working with small businesses that want to cause a stir. That are confident about saying something they shouldn't. That want to grow through being different. Oh, and marketing teams in big corps who have an equally big marketing budget (hello!).
How long has your business been in existence? - Since November 2020 (officially)
How many staff do you employ? - There are two of us at Resin HQ. Me and Creative Director Paul
What job or achievement makes you most proud? - Just before Paul started, you worry about having two people to feed. So, going out there, using my network and bringing in several design projects before he sat down on Day 1 was quite decent (I thought anyhow).
Where do you see the business being in five years? - small, nimble and still focused on delivering exciting creative backed by solid strategy.
Tell us one interesting thing about the business that might surprise us? - we have not one, not two, but THREE different business cards per person. Gotta collect them all!
Tell us one interesting thing about you that people might not know? (ie, hobbies, amusing fact, etc) - I'm related through marriage to the now dead WF wrestling star, the British Bulldog aka Davey Boy Smith (third cousin)
Fantasy dinner party – which six people alive or dead would you invite? - the main cast from Ghostbusters 1984 (Murray, Akroyd, Weaver, Remis, Hudson, Moranis). Would probably take Hudson off for Christopher Lee though.
