Who are you? Ben Porter
What sets you apart from the competition? - I make it a point to understand my clients' businesses and their preferred service style. This allows me to consistently provide the appropriate level of service and avoid making unrealistic promises. Additionally, I prioritise clear and precise communication to ensure that I deliver a personalised service that is tailored to meet their specific needs.
How did the business come about? - I have spent my entire career working in the financial services industry since I was 16 years old. Throughout this time, I've always had the aspiration of owning my own business. Recently, I experienced the unfortunate event of being made redundant, which, surprisingly, presented me with the perfect time and opportunity to establish my own business. I saw this as a chance to create a venture that would assist other businesses in reaching their growth goals.
What are your main target markets? My primary focus is to assist businesses in unlocking their potential by helping them secure the appropriate financing methods to achieve their goals
How long has your business been in existence? Since July 2023
How many staff do you employ? It is only me at present.
What job or achievement makes you most proud? For me as a financial broker, I find pride in helping businesses secure the financing they need to achieve their goals. Seeing the positive impact I can have on their growth and success brings me immense satisfaction and pride in my work.
Where do you see the business being in five years? It is difficult to predict with certainty where a business will be in five years, as it greatly depends on several factors such as market conditions, industry trends, and internal strategies. However, as a financial broker, my role is to support and guide businesses towards sustainable growth and success. By providing them with the necessary financing options, I aim to facilitate their expansion, innovation, and ability to seize opportunities that may arise in the market. With a strong financial foundation, proactive decision-making, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, I am confident the business can position itself as a key player within the industry and achieve significant growth in the next five years.
Tell us one interesting thing about the business that might surprise us? Within my first 2 months, I have already helped 17 firms to secure the right finance option for their business.
Tell us one interesting thing about you that people might not know? (ie, hobbies, amusing fact, etc) – I am addicted to golf and play at least 3 times a week.
