Name of Business
Rebecca Percival Coaching
Who are you?
I am a self development and mindfulness coach who can support and train you with your mental health. I am a Mummy of two gorgeous girls who make me laugh and test my patience everyday. I see life as a big adventure full of experiences that you can embrace and learn from.
What sets you apart from the competition?
My fun and enthusiastic personality. Mental Health is of course a serious subject, but I bring along fun to my work which relaxes my clients, helps them to get more out of my work and helps towards reducing the stigma.
How did the business come about?
My business came about when I had gone through a tough time in my own mental health. The confident and bubbly person I was on the outside didn’t match how I felt on the inside. I had a gorgeous support network and after some time and effort I felt like me again and my inner confidence matched what everybody saw.
I wanted to make a difference to people who were having their own confidence and mental health struggles. When I looked into it more, it felt like I had finally found what I wanted to be when I grew up. So, in 2020 I launched Rebecca Percival Coaching so I could do just that.
What are your main target markets?
Businesses that want to offer their employees more mental health support and reduce the stigma around mental health.. Also, individuals that need to pay themselves some attention and need the accountability to do so.
How long has your business been in existence?
I registered my business in June 2020 but I have been supporting people around me and listening for a lot longer.
How many staff do you employ?
Just me!
What job or achievement makes you most proud?
There isn’t just one achievement that has made me proud. Watching my clients put the effort in, seeing the results and seeing them be proud of the difference that they have made. A big achievement for me is deciding that I was going to build my own business and actually doing it. Some days it’s really hard and I debate whether to get a job in Asda but I keep on going and I am proud of myself for that.
Where do you see the business being in five years?
In five years I would like to have expanded my business and have a ‘unit’ where people can come to. Take part in mental health training and coaching sessions,a mindful cafe, yoga/meditation studio, a workshop where men can come along and build things for the local community and talk about their mental health. Ultimately, I want to reduce the stigma around mental health.
Tell us one interesting thing about the business that might surprise us?
I have been on radio Merseyside a couple of times talking about mindfulness on their ‘Mindful Monday’ slot.
