ResX Limited

Who are you?

Rob Charnock, Director of Business Development

Rob Charnock from ResX

What sets you apart from the competition?

We work in collaboration with our clients to develop and deliver bespoke solutions to inefficiencies in business processes.

Whilst we have products and services (e.g. data mining/analytics, automation, software development), our main value is in our consultative and collaborative partnerships with our clients as we recognise that each business differs and solutions need to not only meet the needs of our clients’ customers, but also need to fit in with our client’s core values and culture in order to be truly transformative.

How did the business come about?

The business was formed from the IT Department of Restons Solicitors. Restons’ investment in its IT allowed ResX to have the ready made staff, skills, experience and infrastructure to commercialise and become its own entity capable of financially supporting itself.

What are your main target markets?

Our main target markets are owner managed businesses and SME’s who have yet to fully invest in the power of technology. Our aim is to work in partnership with clients to deliver bespoke solutions to enhance efficiencies and ultimately make them more profitable.

How long has your business been in existence?

ResX was established as its own entity in 2020 and has already acquired new clients in addition to retaining Restons as a client.

How many staff do you employ?

Currently we employ 10 staff, which include Software Developers, Business Intelligence Analysts and a Digital Marketer.

What job or achievement makes you most proud?

Working with a client, we were able to double their capacity for work without increasing their headcount through the automation of time consuming and costly activities. As a result, the client also saw an increase in compliance by 22% as the majority of customer transactions began to take place via our automated solution meaning an eradication of human errors and a quicker and smoother customer journey.

Where do you see the business being in five years?

Our aspirations are to establish a client base across the UK, beyond the local area and the North West of England and to partner with ambitious innovative thinkers to deliver solutions that are groundbreaking through the intelligent use of data and automation.

Tell us one interesting thing about the business that might surprise us?

The name ‘ResX’ comes from a type of resource file used in the development of IT programmes and draws on the fact that the ResX team were once employed by Restons – Ex-Restons!
