Who are you? – We are a First Aid Provider, expertly delivering Mental Health First Aid, Suicide First Aid, Baby First Aid, Workplace First Aid & Paediatric First Aid
What sets you apart from the competition? – We never use Associate Trainers. Amy and Simon are SO Coach and when we deliver your first aid course, you’ll see immediately that we care, we want to save lives, we want to deliver your best course ever and we want you to be there when it matters the most.
How did the business come about? – To make a long story short, Simon was made redundant and had a dream, SO Coach was born.
What are your main target markets? – Everyone should know first aid. We work with every organisation, school and individual to provide the lifesaving skills.
How long has your business been in existence? SO Coach was established in 2017.
How many staff do you employ? – There is just Simon and Amy and we are both very happy with that.
What job or achievement makes you most proud? – The emails and social media comments we receive regularly, usually saying how the person has utilised the skills from their course and implemented it into real life. This is all we can ask for.
Where do you see the business being in five years? – Where it is today and still saving lives. We have a great business and it is enough right now. If we achieve next year what we achieved last year we are both so happy.
Tell us one interesting thing about the business that might surprise us? – You’ll have to come on a course to find out more, we are full of surprises!
Tell us one interesting thing about you that people might not know? (ie, hobbies, amusing fact, etc) – Simon is constantly told that he looks like Lee Evans when he is delivering. The good news is, he is funnier than Lee Evans.
Fantasy dinner party – which six people alive or dead would you invite? – Simon says – “I love living in the now and so I would invite a selection of my current family & friends, cos they are lovely.”
