Two Warrington businessmen have joined forces to develop a new business networking platform company which will help businesses from all over the country to connect without the use for traditional business cards.
Tony Longmore & Chris Bain both have businesses in Warrington and both are members of Warrington Business Exchange. Tony is Director of F11 Photography Ltd. at The Photo Studio in Evans House. Chris is Director at Cube 32 Studios Ltd. a software development company, located at The Base.
The company is called KNEKT.me and is a contactless business card which uses two types of technology, NFC (Near Field Communication) and QR (Quick Response) Codes. Although both these technologies have been around for years, Tony & Chris felt that they’ve been under utilised. They both saw an opportunity for a networking tool which will help business owners to easily connect on a platform built specifically for business owners and professionals.
Tapping the KNEKT.me business card on mobile devices opens up a profile page containing a wealth of information about the card holder. This information is easily editable and you can control all of the information shown in the profile.
“We’re really excited about this project which has been in development for over six months. We’re both business networkers and have been demonstrating the product to all our colleagues at network meetings across the town and the North West. The feedback that we’re receiving is that people are loving it and sales started before the launch. The platform will evolve over time as we receive more feedback from the members”
Plans for the future of KNEKT.me include a referral program, integration into CRM systems, two-way contact exchange, user statistics, a searchable KNEKTory (Directory) plus much more
The introductory cost of the card is £20 which includes a £12 annual subscription to the profile platform. After year one, you can claim one free replacement card for every year that you remain a member. If you would like an extra replacement card, these are priced at just £10 each.
