Walton Lea Home page

The new website, which can be found at www.waltonlea.org.uk conveys the lively and welcoming community provided by Walton Lea Partnership. It shows details of the many hands-on activities on offer and encourages interested parties to join in and get involved.

The trustees of Walton Lea Partnership stated one major reason for selecting Beech Web Services as their new website partner is their experience working in the field of adults with learning disabilities through their sponsorship of and website creation for another local charity, Creating Adventures.

Donna Sleet, Communications & Community Fundraiser at Walton Lea Partnership had this to say about their new website:

‘For some time, there was a feeling at WLP that our website was old-fashioned and instead of promoting our work, it was actually a hindrance. The problem was what to do about it and who to use. Fortunately, our Community Fundraiser saw the website of another charity, which BEECH WEB SERVICES had designed. From this chance occurrence, a working partnership was created, and WLP now has a new, vibrant, exciting and modern website that is regularly updated and promotes our work exceptionally well.

From the start, working with Beech Web Services was simple, enjoyable and productive. They listen, suggest and explain everything. There was never a moment when we didn’t fully understand the process, and at every stage, our needs were met exactly. Based on our experience, we would not hesitate to recommend Beech Web Services. Their work for us has been outstanding.’

When the project started, Beech Web Services were very aware that the new website would have a range of different audiences with different needs. It had to be able to cater to members and potential members, volunteers, people making donations and funding providers, who would all be looking for very different information.

Roz Healey, Director of Beech Web Services was keen for the new website to convey the fun and vibrant nature of the work done at Walton Lea Partnership and clearly promote the various ways people can volunteer and support them.

She said ‘The finished website achieves all it set out to do and we’re very happy with the results. We’ve loved working with staff and trustees on this and are looking forward to supporting them over the years to come to promote their wonderful charity.’

Walton Lea Partnership has also received training from the team at Beech Web Services to help them manage their own content on the website, alongside their ongoing monthly software updates and checks, to keep the website secure and up to date at all times.
