The coveted award is the seventh award won by the business in its six years in business.
Earlier this year in April the business won the title of Afternoon Tea Company of the Year at the Manchester & Northwest England Prestige Awards 2021/22. Owner Jen Perry was also a finalist in this year's EVAS Awards which recognise outstanding women in business.
Room Forty was founded in 2016 as a mobile afternoon tea parlour setting up in customers’ homes or venues, dressing the room in 1930’s style and serving traditional, homemade afternoon teas to guests on fine vintage china. It established its baking school that same year delivering classes across the region and has taught over 600 people to bake bread, cakes and biscuits.
Founder, owner and manager Jen Perry makes and bakes everything for her afternoon tea’s herself from her 5 Star rated kitchen in Woolston, Warrington.
The Northern Enterprise Awards cover the entire Northern region and are judged following a five-month period of scrutiny by a team of judges.
Jen Perry, owner and founder of Room Forty commented,
‘I am absolutely thrilled and slightly humbled to recieve this award.
We are lucky to have bounced back following Covid. We’ve had a busy order book but can still squeeze bookings in pre-Christmas if you are quick! Or why not book us for a corporate tea building baking class as a staff treat in 2023?
