Carl also told the students how he puts his academic background into day to day practice and how businesses approach recruiting new talent to build high performing teams.

Carl comments:

“The opportunity to meet with young people studying business, to talk to them about what they want to do once they’ve finished studying and potentially offer them employment within our organisations is a real pleasure. Identifying and developing young, local people and providing employment pathways is very important to me; my business partners and our teams within Riqueza Group. I’ve met some very passionate people at the college, the lecturers; tutors and staff work really hard to provide the best possible learning environment for the students. More than that, the college are engaging with local businesses to provide opportunities for the students beyond completion of their studying at the college, very cool”.

The business students aged 16-19 have the opportunity to visit Riqueza Group at their offices within The Base in June, accompanied by subject lead Gavin Segal, to present research they’ve done within their studies and to sit mock job interviews as part of developing skills, confidence and real life experience.
