As in previous years, they are asking for donations of non-perishable food such as rice, pasta, coffee, cereals, soup, biscuits, tinned fruit and vegetables; and new toys/presents ideally for ages 0 – 5 and 10 +. All food items would need to be packaged and sealed, non-perishable and non-alcoholic. The Club will also be offering a collection service again, with the last day for food donations being Friday 3rd December, and the last day for present donations being Friday 10th December to allow enough time to make up the hampers.
The Club is also delighted to say that they will be offering a Family Christmas Meal again at The Village Hotel, and vulnerable young people and their families will be treated to a sumptuous Christmas Meal, games and entertainment, and a visit from Santa! Equally, they have a range of volunteering roles available such as Hamper Packing, Gift Sorting, helping with Santa’s Sleigh, and entertaining at the Christmas Meal.
Plus, in a WYC Christmas First, they are going to be running Festive Fun Friday! Taking place on Friday 3rd December, in partnership with Gulliver’s World, visitors can access the park for just £10 where they will be able to have lots of festive fun, go on the rides, see Santa, and all children will receive a Christmas Gift! Funds raised from this will also go towards the Christmas Appeal.
